I know it's your own 'spin off' but first off The events of Halo and Halo 2 are based in the year 2552. second of all Master Chief was part of the original spartan project acctually he was the first picked! Yes and there was only one spartan the spartan 2 project was a failure because of Reach getting massacred by the covenant also the other handful of spartans in the original project were slaughtered by covenant forces on Reach and the 3 remaining Spartans (Master Chief, James and Linda)were on a carrier trying to destroy the coordinates of earth and one got blasted into space and the other litteraly got shot to death. So yes the only one remaining was MC. A spin-off has to have some relation with the real story so this is not a spin-off. It was good though but nothing to do with halo... and sorry for my rant.
